I am teaching a beginning game design course at a college in the United States and we use GameMaker Studio 1.4 as our tool. We have the educator license for all students how take the course, but we also have students who take the course remotely away from the college. For students who work off campus I've had them download the free GameMaker Studio 1.4 program. Now I see that it has been removed and I am unable to create a new free license for 1.4.
This is a serious issue for my ability to teach my students. I was unaware that yoyogames was planning on removing access to the older version of the software so soon. I cannot adjust the curriculum for the course for the 2.0 version overnight so I still need to get access to the older free version as well as licences for my students.
What do I need to do to make this happen?
Any advice would be appreciated.
